After someone passes, who do I notify?

The passing of a loved one will impact a family in many ways. Aside from the sense of grief and loss, many 'practical' tasks present themselves: the funeral needs to be organised, relatives need to be notified, and a Funeral Director needs to be chosen. It's a lot to cope with when you're processing the death of someone you care about.
At Evermore Funerals, we want to make sure you know who to contact when the time comes. To start with, you may need to reach out to people or organisations such as:
Superannuation fund managers
Department of Veterans Affairs
Insurance companies
Department of Transport
Funeral insurance / Funeral bond providers
Subscriptions to TV streaming services or newspapers
The Queensland Government has put together a great checklist you can use to make sure you've contacted everyone you need to. Click here to find it:
We'd be more than happy to assist you if you have any questions about who to notify when a loved one passes. Feel free to call us any time on 07 3544 6880. We'll do our best to make a difficult time a little easier on you!
