FUNERAL with BURIAL

A reflective service followed by burial

If your loved one wished to be buried, we can help you organise a chapel service to remember and celebrate their life, before you lay them to rest. Our helpful team can take you through your options as you put together a fitting tribute to a life well lived. We'll take care of the key arrangements, and our caring staff can help at the service and assist at the graveside too. Click here to find an extensive list of chapels and cemeteries in South-East Queensland.

What is usually included when having a funeral followed by a burial?
  • Business hours transfer of deceased to our secure mortuary facility. Long-distance and after-hours transfers may incur a nominal fee.

  • Professional mortuary care.

  • Face-to-face meeting with one of our funeral professionals to complete the documentation and answer any questions you have.

  • Preparation and lodgement of all documentation.

  • Provision of standard-sized coffin. See here for coffin options.

  • Viewing of deceased at our Geebung facility, or at service venue prior to service.

  • Provision of official QLD Death Certificate (1 original copy, 6 certified photocopies of original).

  • Burial booking and documentation.

  • Conveyance of deceased to cemetery / chapel.

  • Provision of at least two Funeral Directors at the service.

  • Use of chapel / church for service prior to burial.

  • Provision of sound equipment at burial, for music and the delivery of speeches.

  • Arranging Celebrant / Clergy to officiate at the service (costs average $550).

  • Ordering flower arrangement for top of coffin (costs average $350). You can source your own flowers if preferred.

  • Complementary framed photo of deceased to display at the service (family to keep).

  • Follow-up support and advice.

  • No up-front payments required. Full 30 day account to give you time to finalise the invoice.

While most of the items above are compulsory requirements, there are many personal choices you can make to ensure that your loved one's final wishes are honoured. Decisions need to be made about flowers, cemetery, coffin, catering (for refreshments after the service), printed booklets, photographic tributes, etc. Naturally, the choices you make will vary the overall cost, as will the type of grave used and additional burial costs where applicable.
